We are back from our bi-annual visit to CT and very happy that the long drive is behind us. I am impressed with how well the girls handled it. Despite some complaining, they did very well, and we were able to make far fewer stops than I thought possible. I definitely think that stopping midway for a hotel stay helped. Nothing mends discomfort and boredom like a little swimming.
The visit at my parents was wonderful. Mostly, we just relaxed and did many of the things we normally do in a new place. There was much swimming and bike riding. Maggie and Katie loved having time to spend with Winter, and Winter seemed very happy to hang out with her cousins as well.
